Pokemon Roleplay

Jean got up, picking what he thought was the only Pokeball left. He opened it up, curious to see what kind of Pokemon was inside. As a beam of light flashed forward, a floating rock with eyes and muscles that flexed replaced the light. Rushing for the Pokedex excitedly, he pointed it at the Pokemon. "Geodude, the crazy suicidal rock Pokemon. Loljk, it's just a Rock Pokemon." Jean didn't hear the crazy suicidal part, but the Pokedex said it. Just in a very, very low volume that only dogs can hear... "Alright!" Jean exclaimed. "Lets go Geodude." Taking the other items, Jean Lyren headed out to Route 1 with the others, looking around for his first fight.

Dratini, gaining no experience from the previous battle due to Shane's capturing of the Pidgy, slithered beside his new master. Shane wandered through the grass, and what do you know, he found another Pidgy!

Shane proceeded to move farther up the route as quick as he could.

Gabriel slowly moved through, into the grass after nodding toward the other boy's question. He looked around and waited, after a few moments of silence, a rustling could be heard in the grass. Gabriel readied his Pokeball, sending out Abra. A wild RATTATA(Lv. 3) jumped out, glaring toward the Abra.

"Go with tackle!" commanded Gabriel to his partner, Abra who floated in the air for moments before looking at all like it heard Gabriel. Abra charged toward the Rattata, tackling it and hitting it back a few steps. The Rattata then shook it's head, as though trying to put off the attack and charged.

"Abra, try another tackle!" Yelled Gabriel as the Abra got back up into the air, it did not move for several moments, and then charged immediately at the Rattata and the wild Rattata fainted after the blow.

Gabriel turned to see the others had already ended their battles as well.

Jean, excited at the sight of marvelous pidgys, rushed towards the grassy fields and stopped as a Rattata appeared. He looked at Geodude, who never seemed to be in his pokeball, and they exchanged looks.

"Alright Geodude, lets go! Use Tackle!" The Geodude stood there. "Erhm, execute Tackling Mode! Go go go!" No response. Jean pointed at the Rattata. "Geodude, tackle!" As if finally hearing Geodude, the floating rock charged at the Rattata. The Rattata also did the same, the two of the pokemons getting hurt.

The Rattata fainted as a smile grew on both Geodude's and Jean's face. However, Jean frowned immediatly. He forgot to scan the rat pokemon with his Pokedex. Oh well, he thought, I'll do it next time.

Tristan walked about in the grass, watching all the other young trainers battle. He didn't find any Pokemon that wanted to battle him yet. He thought to himself, "Ya' know, a flying type would be pretty useful, but a rat...nah." And the second he thought that, he was confronted by a Pidgy. He began to laugh, grabbed his Nidorans pokeball, and then sent him after the bird Pokemon.

Tristan then grabbed a pokeball he had in his jacket, and threw it at the wild Pidgy. The Pokemon but up a slight struggle, but then gave up, causing a slight dinging noise. Tristan pocketed his new Pokemon, and then walked through the grass with the other children.

(Had to correct the exp) (Second time: Had to correct the exp, cuz you wouldn't get any from catching a Pokemon o.o)

Shane was continuing the route when he ran into ANOTHER Rattata. "Really?" Shane said out loud, "How many of these thing are there?"

Dratini used Tackle, the only move he knew (I still find it bull that GABE is the only one who can use two moves... GABE OF ALL PEOPLE), causing Rattata a decent amount of damage.

Shane wondered whether or not he should catch the Rattata or not. He needed the data on 150 caught Pokémon, not just seen, though he figured there were plenty of Rattata in the world, so he'd leave it for some other time. "Dratini, one more Tackle, if you'd please." Shane instructed Dratini, and it obeyed, causing Rattata to faint.

"Hmm... This stuff is pretty easy!" Alice said. She looked around her and considered challenging someone else to a battle, then decided to wait for when they made it to the next town. She ran through some grass, then spotted another Pokemon, a Pidgey. "Alright Gastly, you know what to do- lick~" she said, and the battle began.

Gabriel looked around the area for another, it took him a few minutes, but he saw a Wild PIDGEY(Lv. 3) He noticed one of the kids was already so close to the end of the route.

"Abra, let's go!" Gabriel shouted as he threw pressed button the Pokeball, throwing it into the air. Out appeared Abra, floating. "Abra, tackle!" Abra did not move. "Abra, tackle!" Gabriel commanded again. Gabriel tried to see what was going on with Abra, then realized, Abra was asleep! "Abra!" He shouted. The Abra showed no signs of being awake, yet it charged toward the Pidgey with his eyes closed. Knocking the Pidgey back a considerable amount, Gabriel was satisfied. Suddenly the Pidgey went at an alarming speed toward Abra and furiously pecked it.

Gabriel was surprised that Abra was still asleep, but could use tackle, the peck appeared to wake the sleeping Pokemon. "Come on Abra, you can do it--one more tackle!" Gabriel shouted toward the Abra. Abra charged again, "Revenge for that peck!" Gabriel shouted as Abra collided into the Pidgey, making it faint.

Gabriel turned, he wanted to get this over with, he saw one of the others catch a Pokemon, so he planned that the next encounter he had, he would catch one. "Dammit! I forgot to scan this one..." Gabriel realized as he returned Abra.

((Yeah Omnis, you caught a Pokemon before? You may wanna undo that as catching is actually a system too, which I planned out but apparently didn't post... but I saved it on notepad, so here;


CONCEPT- Catching Pokemon

To catch a pokemon, it calls upon a simple formula. Each Pokeball has a number value.

Pokeball - 3
Greatball - 2
Ultraball - 1

The "end number" = The Pokeballs number + The Pokemon's Level - Your Pokemon's Level + The Pokemon's HP. Example:

Gastly vs Rattata.
Lvl 6 | Lvl 3
HP: 20/20 | 2/10

Use a pokeball: 3 + 3 - 6 + 2 = 2.

Or...

Gastly vs Raticate
Lvl 36 vs Lvl 30
HP: 50/50 | 9/40

Use an ultraball: 1 + 30 - 36 + 9 = 4.

The attempt is roleplayed, then based on what the end number is, I will use a random number picker, and pick a number 1-10. If the number is above your end number, you've successfully caught the Pokemon. If it's below your number, you've failed in your attempt to catch the Pokemon.))

Kenji would find a purple beast, scouring the tall grass that it was in. "What's that?" he would think to himself, taking out his pokedex as he would quickly try to scan it. "Rattata, the normal type pokemon." is what his pokedex would say. "Awesome!" he would state simply, sending out his Squirtle that was following behind him to do battle. "Use tackle!" he'd state at his Squirtle, it launching itself forward as it smashed against the Rattata.

Alice had reached Viridian city. She looked around and smiled, being vaguely familiar with the place as she had passed through it on her way here. She saw a few things- in the far corner, a Pokemon gym. She also noticed a few residential houses, but more importantly, a Pokemart and Pokemon center. She stood, looking around, deciding on what to do and waiting for the others, to try to find someone to talk to.

Shane, after resting Dratini in Viridian's Pokémon center, sat at one of the tables in said center, trying to figure out what to do next. He drank a soda which he got from one of the Pokémon Center's vending machines. He got up, threw his soda can away, and decided to enter the Pokémart, which wasn't far from the center. He looked through the shelves, just browsing. After he didn't find anything worth buying as of yet, he decided to walk outside and just sit at a bench. He was bored, to say the least. He sent Dratini out so it could get some fresh air, but it just stood by the bench, and they both sighed at the same time.

Kenji would follow after Alice, nearing the end of the route also. A wild pidgey would walk up near him as he sent his squirtle after it.

The Pidgey begins to wobble, close to fainting. It would go and peck at the Squirtle, not causing very much damage.

The Squirtle, as if on cue, would run over and smash its shell against the Pidgey, causing it to be knocked out. Exp: 2/10 ---->8/10

Kenji would than say "Squirtle, follow me!" as he would run to the end of the route, looking at the buildings around him. There was almost everything; a gym, a pokemart, and pokemon center, and more places to adventure. He would walk up to Alice, saying "Guess we're the first ones done, eh?"

Gabriel stood, pulling out his Pokedex and looking around to see what Pokemon there were, when he looked back to where he fought the Pidgey, there was another in it's place. Another Pidgey that wanted a vengeance for the last fallen one. Gabriel smiled as he sent out his Abra, who was floating calmly in mid-air. Gabriel glared at the Pidgey as he thought out his first move.

Gabriel then just decided to use tackle. "Abra, use tackle on it!" Gabriel told his Pokemon. The Abra took a few moments to fully react to the command. It moved forward then launched forward, crashing right into the Pidgey, who seemed determined to win. The Pidgey then jumped up in a way and brought it's beak down upon Abra who also got hit back a few steps by the attack.

Gabriel took an opportunity to quickly scan the bird. "Pidgey; The Flying type Pokemon." The Pokedex's voice said aloud. Gabriel grinned, "Flying, eh?" He reached into his bag with his right hand and pulled out a Pokeball. He took a breath as he flung it toward the Pidgey in an attempt to catch it.

(I'm not sure if I have to leave it off there or not,)

Gabriel smirked as the ball stopped moving, he picked it up. "Now I have Pidgey and Abra, flying and psychic... both interesting." He said aloud as he returned Abra and headed off toward the end of the Route.

Shane, bored off his arse, returned Dratini to its Poké Ball and decided to head to the route west of Viridian, Route 22. He knew that it would be a fun, multicoloured adventure, compared to the monochrome experience he was having with Viridian City. As he ran towards the route, he accidentally ran into someone, a girl. He fell to the ground, and quickly said, "I'm sorry, are you alright?" He got up and found out that the girl he knocked over was the girl who was at the Laboratory with him and the others... what was her name?...

"Whatjusthappened?" Alice said quickly stumbling over but falling back up, then looking at Shane. "Oh, you!" She leaned in towards him to get a closer look, her eyes widening and the thin dark rings around her eyes giving her an eerie look similar to that of her pokemon. "Hai~" she said, glancing quickly at him, then at the town, then Pokemon center. "STAYPUT?" she asked, but saying it more like a command. She returned Gastly into its pokeball and ran over to the Pokemon center, coming back a minute later, and let out Gastly again to float all around her.

"So where are you headed?" she asked, then glancing at the route to the west, the answer being extremely self explanatory. "Oh, uhm, there. Good idea! I wanna go too."

Shane looked at the girl with a bit too much energy with a questionable look. He looked towards Route 22 and then looked back at her. She couldn't be that much trouble, right? "I don't see why not," he says quietly, and then walks towards the Route, expecting her to follow. "So, what's your name, anyway?" he called back to her, wondering what her name was (duh).

Gabriel walked slowly into the town with his bag over shoulder, he then spotted the Pokemon Center first, going in quickly to heal his own Pokemon. When he came out he saw the others, though he couldn't remember their names. He immediately walked towards two who were talking and leaving. "Hey!" He called behind them. He loved to just randomly appear. "What are you guys planning to do? I'm pretty bored myself, mind if I tag along?"

"Sure! Stay with us!" she said to Gabe. "Oh, and I'm Alice~" she said to Shane. "And you are Shane." she said to him, as if he didn't know his own name. As she walked alongside the two, she saw the beginning of Route 22. She ran ahead to get to the route as fast as possible and looked around at all the wild Pokemon. "Oh, these are new..." she said, whipping out her Pokedex, ready to scan in lots of new Pokemon.

Gabriel took out his Pokedex ready to scan Pokemon like Alice was. "I'm Gabriel," he told them as he continued on ahead. "Great, more Pokemon!" As Gabriel made it to the entrance of the route he turned to Alice. "So I have to ask. What made you want a Pokemon?" He asked her as he looked at Shane, and then Route 22.

Kenji ran after the others, his Squirtle in his left hand, and ready for a battle. He was following them all from the beginning, but it was time for him to make his entrance. He would point to Gabe and his Abra. "I challenge you to a pokemon battle!" he would state with a smirk, his Squirtle following him with a boost of confidence. He was excited for his first actual battle, and hoped that Gabriel would accept his challenge.

Shane looked at her as she scanned each Pokémon. You know, it'll be of no use if you just scan them... You need to get all their encyclopedia data by catching them... Shane shuffled through the grass when a wild Pokémon jumped him. "Shit!" he said, surprised, and send out his Dratini.

"Well..." Alice said, beginning a seemingly long story. "I come from Lavender Town. The place where all the dead pokemon go is right next to my house. I go every day and know lots of ghosts, which made me want a ghost of my own, which I now have!" she said, surprisingly upbeat, though talking about the deceased. She walked into the grass and saw a Mankey. "Alright, time to shine Gastly~"

The Mankey ran up to the Gastly and used a barrage of moves to try to do as much damage as it could, doing a decent amount of damage on the ghost.
