"The place we live in is a beautiful region called Kanto- it may not be very huge, especially considering our region is inhabited by only 150 Pokemon, but it's simple that way and a cozy place. Here's an idea of where we live, it's a map for you."



"So given this map, it's likely you come from somewhere far-- but everyone winds up in my Pokemon lab at first to receive their first pokemon. I'm curious though, where do you come from? I'm sure if you visited your family you'd get a little gift if you stopped by during your adventure, so maybe it'll come in handy."

"Now, most people's journey would be to get all 8 gym badges- this isn't an easy task. I'm sure you know the deal with that, you go to a gym, challenge their leader, and if you win you get a badge. Now some people just want to catch all 150 pokemon, others would rather become the Pokemon league champion... it's up to you.

But before I let you on your way, there's a few things to know- there's a simple battle system. Each Pokemon you have starts at level 5, and caps off at level 100. Each of those Pokemon will evolve- or progress to a stronger form- at levels 20, and 50. In between those, at all of the multiples of 8 (8, 16, 24, 32, 40, 48, 56, 64, 72, 80, 88, 96.) they will learn another move, but they can only keep up to 4 moves at a time. With every level, they will also gain three stat points, to be distributed however the trainer pleases. However, with every level they will also need 5 more experience than they needed before to level.

For every Pokemon you defeat, you gain it's level times 2 in experience. So if you beat a level 8 Pokemon, you'd get 16.
