Shane noticed that Dragyn was already looking incredibly weak from that one attack. "Well, looks like your Gastly is on a completely different level than Dragyn's... I'm sure you saw this outcome already..." Shane decided he might as well give it a try, "Dragyn, use Tackle!"

"As far as I can tell, this battle is pretty much over, in your favor," Shane simply said, not being a whiny pussy about it like Gabe. "Your Gastly is something else..." And he let Alice deliver the finishing blow.

"Alright Gastly, lets finish this with a tackle!" Gastly tackled Dragyn and swooped back to Alice.

Dragyn had fainted and Gastly floated around Alice, very proud of itself. While in a battle usually the losing trainer would lose money, instead Alice didn't care too much about the money and let him keep however much he would lose.

[Wow, I'm behind quite some amount.]

Casually strolling along Route 1, Chips sitting happily upon her shoulder, Emily took note of the many fights she passed, whilst carefully avoiding them herself. Not out of any sense of cowardice, mind you, she had a more cunning strategy in mind - watch and learn from the others' mistakes, and wait for a Pokémon with the gall to start a fight with her, both hopefully contributing to a more efficient journey.
And it was as she pondered this plan that a Pidgey descended from the skies, knocking Chips off of her shoulder and into combat.

Chips obviously didn't need telling what to do at this point, and took the initiative to grab the Pidgey's foot before it could fly off, and raked his stubby fingernails across the offending bird's face, scoring 3 parallel cuts.

In retaliation, the wild avian struggled to get free, pecking at it's target's face with it's sharp beak.

"Chips" HP 20/20 -> 19/20

With the haste of one in pain and close to victory, Chips quickly returned the favour, scratching at Pidgey's face in the opposite direction.

Emily cautiously gave her victorious companion a high five, and lifted him back into the crook of her arm, setting off yet again along the route.

Shane returned Dragyn and walked calmly to the Pokemon Center. "It appears I have a lot of training to do." He said, looking back at Alice. And he went back to the Pokemon Center to heal up Dragyn. He gave the Pokeball to the Pink Haired nurse and within a few seconds, gave it back to him. He decided to take a soda from the vending machine and take a sip from it at the table. It was getting somewhat late, so he figured he'd spend the night at the Pokemon Center, seeing as they did have rooms for Trainers to lounge in.

Kenji would wonder in the route, finding now a female Nidoran. "Woah,cool." he'd say, grabbing on his own Nidorans pokeball. He would say "Come on out!" as his Nidoran would come out of its pokeball, letting out a small battle cry as it turned to the other one. It would go and tackle the other Nidoran. 9-8/3=6. In response, the other Nidoran would attack back at him.

Kenji would take Nidoran back to the Pokemon center and heal. He would stay around there, trying to look for the others to battle.

Alice wandered off to the Pokemon center and healed her Pokemon. She then walked outside and decided she was going to continue on to the next city- Pewter. There she'd try to get her first gym badge, but that was a while off for now. She stepped back on to Route 2, hoping to bump into some people, as there was a forest a little further up and she didn't want to go through alone- even though they were just bugs, the Pokemon in there were significantly stronger than the others. She looked around wondering if anyone else would join her in the trip.

Shane got up and decided there would be time for rest later, so he got up and checked the map located near the PC. If he continued through Route 2 and the Viridian Forest, he would find himself in Pewter City, location of the first Gym. So he set off (not without taking another soda from the vending machine). After setting off for Route 2, he ran into Alice again. "Hey there, Alice," He said after taking a sip of his soda. "Heading to Pewter as well?" he then finished his soda and put it in his bag to throw away later. "I need to train a bit more before I even attempt to challenge the gym... the battle with you taught me that..." He then put on a look of determination, ready for anything ahead of him.

Kenji, remembering the route that it took him to get to Pallet Town from Pewter, was excited. "I'm nearly at my home town." he would state with enthusiasm, walking along Route 2 with his Nidoran and Squirtle. He'd begin to pick up the pace, seeing Shane and Alice ahead of him. "Can't fall behind." he'd state with a grin, now running with his pokemon following him. "OH, HEY GUYS! MISS ME?!" he would yell as he tagged behind the two in front of him, waving as if he won some sort of prize. "...Guys?" he'd state, now in a smaller tone, wondering if they heard him.

"I MISSED YOU~" Alice yelled just as loudly grabbing Kenji's arm and pulling him forward into the tall grass. "C'mon, c'mon, lets get into that fracking forest already!" she yelled, making her way right in front of the Forest Entrance. "I've already faught a crapload of Pokemon here, forget training here, I wanna get into the forest, I hear the Pokemon are alot stronger here... Shane, you coming?"

"Uh, yeah..." He said, following the two... He had a feeling he would be tagging along with these two in particular for a while. Then the SECOND he steps into the tall grass...

Dragyn gave a loud yawn, and returned herself into Shane's Pokeball. "Sorry about knocking that Nidoran into your back... er... what was your name?..." he said to Kenji, following him and Alice after the little battle.

Kenji, scared out of his mind, would scream like a little girl. "BWANDIFDNGIHFGDHFG!" was the sound he made as the Nidoran knocked into him. The very impact of the creature knocking into him was so much that it made him fall. As he fall, his pokeballs with Squirtle and Nidoran pressed upon the ground, causing them to come out on Kenji's belly. "Nngh...I'm...Kenji..." he would say, nearly out of breath. He would get up and pat himself down, then continue on his way to the Forest.

"Kenji..." Shane muttered to himself, "Well, Kenji, you have Nidoran spikes stuck in your back..." Shane said as he approached Kenji and pulled a spike out of his back... something that would probably hurt like a mother... "You're lucky, they're not one of Nidoran's poison spikes... You would be sick to the point of death if they were..." Shane threw the single spike to the ground and continued walking. "So... you come from Pewter?" Shane asked.

"Gah...Thanks" he would say to Shane, walking along with the group as they neared the forest. He would wait there for the others to catch up, and say "When should we enter? Seems really big and dark..." in a small tone, wondering which kind of pokemon there would be and which pokemon he would fight. "I know I'll catch SOMETHING in here!" he'd say with enthusiasm, ready to charge in.

Shane entered Viridian Forest with Alice and Kenji... Needless to say... the forest was dark at night. Shane tried to take the lead, and just simply walked by trees, trees and more trees. Then, out of nowhere, a Caterpie came out of the tree and stood its ground in front of Shane...

Caterpie looked at Shane innocently enough, with the big round eyes it had, some might even recognize it as cute... then it attacked Dragyn at full force.

Dragyn was knocked back, surprisingly, and attacked Caterpie without Shane giving it a command... but not with Tackle (OMG?!). It wrapped itself around Caterpie's tiny body nearly strangling the air out of its lungs.

Shane returned Dragyn, "She's not looking too well, guys..." he said, looking at Dragyn's Pokeball. He put her away, trying to avoid wild battles form now on and get to a Pokemon Center ASAP.

"Yeah, just saying, but it'll take you a while to get back to town..." (Two posts worth of walking actually. xD) "Maybe you should just avoid fighting. Or use a potion, remember Prof. Oak gave us each one?" She then saw a Caterpie in front of her, and laughed. "Ha, a bug? How sad..."

Gastly in return used a powerful nightshade.

Caterpie attacked yet again, leaving Gastly with 5 hit points. Gastly then swooped by in a rush to tackle the bug.

18 - 12/3 = 14.

This completely knocked out the caterpie, and gave Gastly 18/30 experience points. Alice used the potion in her bag to restore Gastly to full HP.

After hearing what Alice said, he reached into his backpack and pulled out a small, purple spray-bottle. He sent out Dragyn and applied the potion to her wounds. Dratini instantly looked a lot better.

"Thanks for reminding me, Alice," Shane said, with a grin. As he continued to wander, he was able to avoid quite a few Pokemon for a while.

Kenji would look towards a wild Weedle, ready to fight. "Go, Squirtle!" he would say, his pokemon jumping out as it would tackle the foe. However, the Weedle being faster, it would first tackle against him. 12-13/3=8
The Squirtle would continue with its attack, striking back. 15-12/3=11




The Weedle would strike again, as the Squirtle striked back as well, the Weedle fainting.

Kenji would use a potion, healing his Squirtle back to full health. He would than encounter a wild Caterpie. He would send his Squirtle out, quickly using tackle. 16-4=12. The Caterpie would use a tackle back, harming the Squirtle. 12-5=7

Jean and Geodude went farther down the route until they encountered yet another Rattata. Jean pointed at the Rattata and Geodude nodded. He knew the plan by now. While Geodude dashed towards the Rat pokemon, Jean scanned it with his Pokedex. "Rattata, the Rat pokemon. Rattata is a normal type."

Geodude charged with tackle as Jean shouted the command. The rattata flinched, and fell down. Getting up with great speed, the Rattata returned a Tackle of its own. Geodude didn't seem too hurt, though, as he had enough energy to Tackle again. "Finish it!" The Rattata fainted.

Alice walked a little further, then pondered, and looked at the others around her. "Maybe I should go back...." she said out loud hoping for some response. "Gastly's getting really weak and I need to see a Pokemon center but its a long trip back, what should I do?" she asked.

Shane pondered for a bit, then thought up a decision. "Maybe we should head back and heal up our Pokemon a bit," He said, "we can stock up on some more potions in Viridian, so we won't have to deal with this later."

"My Squirtle and Nidoran are looking fine, though. I think I can make it out. Hmn." Kenji would say, wondering what the others would do. His Squirtle would be able to survive two wild pokemon, and his Nidoran would be able to survive one. That was just enough for him to make it out, but probably not the others. "I'll meet you guys on the other side, alright? Now you guys go heal up." he would state, heading deeper into the forest.
