((Pen you can talk now, wtf? xD))
Rose sat up and leaned against the banister of the bed, her head facing forward and her eyes glancing around the room, but focusing on the scientist. She remembered what she had heard and experienced, and she scowled at the man, disgusted with the idea of this place in general. After a period of brief silence, she spoke. "Le scientifique est mauvais." was all she said, then returning back to her usual silence. She was able to speak several languages but she chose French in specific knowing that it was likely many others couldn't understand it, mainly the scientists.

(( Yeah pen, what happend to you being the mute comic relief?))
Ganku's eyes would open in suprise when he heard his thought to be mute friend speaking. As he stared at his friend who continued to describe in great detail what he saw, all he could think about was that this place, as unseteling as it was, had given his friend something no one else could of. As he sat there smilling, he heard the comment the girl made in french and he instantly replied "Comment pourrait-il être mauvais ? regarder, ils lui ont donné une voix . Non, ils lui donna sa voix. Je vous demande , qui d'autre pourrait lui donner cela"

Re: The Gift of Rebirth
The Scientist didn't want to show any sign of not knowing what had happened, for all they know he knew exactly what was going on the entire time, and now it was time to give the results, but he was having trouble, what could he do? He had to go with his visual results, or go on a guess. He would turn to Gabriel first, the visual results were obvious, so he smiled as he spoke. Since he had to keep people with actual gifts 'away' from the rebellion, which is the point of the test. "You pass." He said. He would then look to Mattias, who had a gift that wasn't very noticeable, like that of Rose, Omnis, and the mute boy. "You fail," He would tell Mattias, and then he told the others. "All of you failed except for Ganku and Gabriel, not even having gifts." He was going with the visual instead of a gut instinct, hopefully, he was right. "Now, we must head up, there is one elevator and it leads to one place..." He pointed his hand toward the elevator and said "The Marking Room takes up almost the entire building, carrying the Pass or Fail mark of anyone who's ever taken this test. You will all go with me to be marked as pass or fails." He then moved toward the elevator, expecting the others to follow.
The rebellion grunt would slip out a pillar from the mechanical ball and stared at the top floor, the Marking Room. He threw the small pillar up high enough to reach the top of the building, then it burst into a grappling hook shape, the pillar seemed to have a connection with the ball, which rose with it, as did the grunt. He smiled as he would soon get to the Marking Room, where the unfair results of this test were put into action, those who would pass, nothing would happen, but to those who would fail... Shaking his head, he ignored the possibilities, he finally got to the top stepping over the roof slowly, he would plant the mechanical ball and watch as a small laser would emit, he could feel the heat from where he was, he was breaking into the Marking Room after jamming security and communication connections.
Gabriel was surprised, not only at how he passed, but how the others didn't. "How did they not pass?" Gabriel asked in shock, but he was slightly happy that he passed, though not happy that the others didn't. "What did they do wrong? Couldn't you see what was going on in their mind or something?" Gabriel would argue, as he wanted the others to pass. Gabriel would await the scientist's argument, though, he wasn't ready to argue back, since he wanted to pass.

Re: The Gift of Rebirth
Mattias stands up, rage filling his eyes. He said, "Oh, no gift, huh? What happened in my mind! What the fuck kind of technology are you using if you can't see that something HAPPENED in that pod to me??" He punched the wall, leaving a small hole in it, and leaving his hand bloodied. "What kind of shit are you people working on! God dammit!"

Re: The Gift of Rebirth
((Pen said he still can't talk, it was a typo of sorts.))
Rose sighed and decided it was time to say something. "You- boy." she looked at Mattias. "Don't do that." she looked at Gabriel. "They can't see whats in our mind. Their technology does not allow that." she knew what the scientist thought and what would happen from the small flash of her power she had gotten. She was unsure whether to share or not but she left it as simple as possible. "The only reason they even conduct these tests is for their own benefit, to protect their precious little country, isn't that right?" Rose asked, scowling and looking at the scientist. She knew the scientist was just an average man most likely, with no powers of his own. He was in a room full of children with potential devastating ability and he had nothing but a clipboard and statistics. "Il peut être sage d'éviter cet homme." she said, glancing at Ganku then at the scientist. She tried to limit what she said unlike the other people who seemed to talk quite a lot.

Re: The Gift of Rebirth
Mattias smiles cynically, his teeth appearing almost canine, "That's right...the only thing they probably gave him was some sort of gun, if not anything at all." Mattias slowly walked towards the scientist, his hand clenched, filled with blood...and his crystalline looking eyes burned with severe anger. "I don't know what happened in that pod, or even if that was real... But I was saved, by my own accord or not, I cannot explain. You WILL let me pass." He tilted his head down, his black hair covering up his face as he gritted his teeth, infuriated that he couldn't move forward and find out about his family unless he convinced the scientist he was special.

Re: The Gift of Rebirth
Rose shook her head. "Garçon pathétique et idiot." she mumbled quietly. "You're disgracing the name of the human race." she said coldly glaring at the boy. "That guy is a moron. How did he even get in here? He looks like a weakling too, he'd never last in a fight, even with that scientist... I hope he gets tased or something." she chuckled to herself with that thought, and looked around the room, wondering how the others felt about this whole ordeal.

Re: The Gift of Rebirth
((er... ignore my last post then, thanks pen...))
Ganku felt like he was in a verry awkward place, he was only one of two people who had passed and his friend wasnt the other one. Then there was the kid that had started shouting and acting like a soar looser in his mind. Yet he was puzzled on the test itself, what had he done to pass? what had the others failed to do? He stood up and placed his hand on Mattias shoulder and motioned for him to be quiet, then he faced the scientist and searched for the english words he wanted and said "Can you... er.. Expliquer Test?" he couldn't recall teh word for explain so he used the french word but hopefully he understood what he ment.

((...I lived in the desert, hunted for food, and fended off bandits by my lonesome...It goes against my rp, so no, I don't look like a weakling, I'm just stupid. o.o))
Mattias stood there, feeling Gankus hand on his shoulder, and Roses eyes burning into his body. He gathered himself, for the most part, and said, "You listen to me, you ignorant girl. There are rumors that they do terrible things to those who do not pass this test, unless you would like to be killed, experimented on, or WHATEVER they do in this building, ya know...we gotta' to DO something." He stared at the scientist, muttering, "And you pigs wonder why there's a rebellion going on."

((In my characters eyes, yes, you look like a weakling.))
"I would think of a comeback but I'm too busy being shocked and impressed you know how to pronounce the word ignorant." Rose said, now glancing at the scientist. "Besides, those rumors aren't true anyway, I actually know unlike you who just seems to make up stuff. Really, just sit in the corner like a good boy and don't hurt yourself again, okay?" Rose laughed. "God this guy is even dumber than he looks and that's saying something..." she glanced at Ganku. "He seems nice enough, he'll probably actually be useful in the future, unlike some people... I'm not surprised he passed." she looked around at the others while thoughts rushed through her head.

Re: The Gift of Rebirth
Gabriel heard enough of this, Rose had a point, if they probably couldn't see into their minds, then they wouldn't know. "Well, for the sake of trying to pass, shouldn't they at least let us prove what we can do? That is..." He took a breath, "If we even know how." He would take a look at Mattias. "Acting tough will get you nowhere." After saying that he would look around at the others and then head toward the elevator. "I'm going to face the decision, either way. If you don't like it..." He sighed, he really didn't know what to say. Turning back, he knew he would be acting the same as them if he failed, but he didn't know what he was going to do... he felt like a hypocrite. Left with a choice, he stepped into the elevator, simply waiting if anyone else would go to the marking floor as well. Though, he knew she was right, that they were being used for the country's benefit, he didn't care.
The Scientist looked at the girl, a bit annoyed with her, he sighed as he began to speak again. "This is not for our benefit, simply yours as well, what do we get from letting you keep your gift? Or from taking it away? We just our unbiased judgment to determine your worthiness." Turning to Mattias, he would speak his mind. "Would you rather be screwed and dead, or allow Genko's worthy scientists to help choose your future?" He did feel a bit proud of himself for no reason, he didn't care about these kids, he wanted to get it over with, marking was almost done anyway. Shaking his head, he turned to the elevator and stepped forward. "If you don't want to face your decision, then don't, if you do, then come.

Re: The Gift of Rebirth
Mattias would follow Gabriel into the elevator muttering, "If they're going to kill me, I'm going to find some way to make them regret it...I'll do whatever I can." He was getting confused, and then he thought, "The situation feels hopeless...We can follow them...and die, or we can try to escape...and die." He got into the elevator, his blood boiling beneath his skin. He decided to practice some sort of self control...for now, even though he wanted to break the neck of the scientist who stood in front of him. He took out an MP3 Player, put the ear-buds in his...well ears, and started listening to some psycho music, to try to vent some of his anger. He figured some of the kids were right, he had over-reacted, trying to instill some fear, only to make himself look retarded. He decided to save some of that anger for a different day, and for now he would sit in the elevator, waiting for some sort of miracle.

Re: The Gift of Rebirth
Nybol's pale eyes observed the scientist with no feeling. He wasn't prepared for this, nothing like this. They called it a gift when really all it was is a curse. Five seconds... get into the elevator... He thought, trying to get back on track. But when the time came for him to start walking, his legs would not move. He just stared into the dark world, observing everything that happened, knowing everything that is happening, and its history behind it. But there was nothing he could do to save the tragic events, nothing he could do to comfort the tragic past. He looked at the scientist's face, confused about his choice of action. He's nothing more than a pawn... Without realizing it, Nybol's grip on the voice box tightened in anger. His life... is not needed. But it was then that Nybol realized something important. He knew what he had, and that was all that would be needed in the future. Hiding his smile and sudden swing of mood, he followed the others onto the elevator, ignoring everything anyone said. Not even knowing the others opened their mouths. He thought to himself that even with visuals, it was obvious what his gift was. What a blind doctor.

Re: The Gift of Rebirth
Ganku would sigh, it became clear to him how useless this "doctor" really was. The eerie feeling he had about this building had come back to him now and he wondered if going up that elevator was going to be a one way up trip. The fact that he has passes hadn't really calmed him down at all, what did he really pass? for all he knew that fool in the lab coat had choosen at random, he personally didnt feel much diferent, besdies the fact that his hand felt fine even though he expected it to be broken after hitting the pod. He stood there for a few minutes pondering what he should do untill he saw Nybol walk past him and enter the elevator. Ganku sighed again and decided he was going to find out what awaited him at the top of that elevator. Besides if Nybol had the guts to go, ganku would have no excuses. He hesitated for a moment and then he walked forward and entered the elevator with his fist clenched and ready for the worst.

Re: The Gift of Rebirth
((A bit late, but I've been gone all week, what can you do?))
Omnis looked at the scientist in disbelief. "Waitwaitwaitwaitwait... how do you determine we fail, exactly?..." He wanted to know why he failed, and wanted every little detail possible. "What do you even consider useful gifts, anyway?" His usual mischievous smile was gone, and it was replaced by a look of disappointment... who could blame him?

Re: The Gift of Rebirth
Mattias looked at Omnis, his face fairly depressed for the first time, and he replied for the scientist, "He based his decision on visual results...Those being what he could see, not what we did. That at the fact that he can't peer into our thoughts...Or so he says." Mattias held his head in his knees, and he began running the sequence of thoughts that came to him during the time he was in the pod, and he began do decode them to the best of his ability.
He visioned himself on the ground, about to be executed by the hooded figure. He visualized closing his eyes, hearing the gunshot, but not being hit. He then open his eyes, and stared at the thin layer of glass that appeared to have appeared from absolutely thin air. He thought to himself, "I don't know what that was, and unless it was programmed to happen when the subject nears critical condition...I don't see any other explination." He stood up, and then leaned against the wall, and stared at the floor, his face fairly blank.

Re: The Gift of Rebirth
Omnis scoffed, "I know THAT," he said, "but I want to know what exactly he does see... What results determine whether or not we pass..." He glared at the scientist, "I won't be satisfied until I know that much..." He put on his sly look when he said that last sentence, just to add some sort of emphasis for some reason.
Re: The Gift of Rebirth
The scientist was getting quite annoyed, he knew the kids were trying to outsmart him or something of that sort. He was going to avoid the question that could make or break the company's reliability. Shaking his head, he tried to come up with an answer, strangely however, he still didn't think of the others as much of a threat, if they didn't have anything that could be seen visually, there obviously wouldn't be any danger. "Would there?" The words slipped out of his mouth.
Now in the Marking Room, the grunt made his way over the flat, steel bridge over to the elevator door, noticing it was in use, he decided he wouldn't take the common sense way in. He moved his palm over the wall slowly and found a vent large enough for him to go through, it wasn't much of teleportation, but it was something. Cutting through the edges, he pulled off the vent, and slid easily into it. Sliding quickly down the vent, he found a stop at another vent after two minutes of going down, he then kicked his legs forward into the vent and tried to cut with his pillar-knife at the same time, in moments the vent was weak, he kicked it out and popped out into a hallway. Gingerly walking forward, he planned to first look at what everyone was doing, but instead walked into the main room, and looked toward the elevator. "Well, look at what we have here--just in time." He looked around at each of the others. "Weak security, old man, got through pretty quick." He grinned as he saw the scientist. "James Rebuuk of the Rebellion; Zarboniko Squad. I'm here to give you all a simple choice, join us or join..." He chuckled, looking at the scientist. "...him." He looked around and saw the two already at the elevator, wondering who would go with him and who wouldn't, he was prepared for a fight anyway.
Gabriel looked at the man who just walked in, surprised at his appearance. Join...the Rebellion? he thought to himself. Gabriel then wondered if he should, though he knew he wouldn't be approved of by his family, joining something like a rebellion, rebellions never end well, he knew it. Thinking this over, he looked over everyone else, looking at their reactions, but then ignoring, them he stood thought for a moment. I did pass... so I strongly feel I should stay... Not to mention how proud Mom would be, or even sis... He then looked up and nodded slowly. "I'm staying here," he said in response to James. Not really thinking over what he just said, he waited for everyone else to answer before speaking again.

"Prick." Rose said directed towards James. "This guy... ugh. And he assumes since we're here we're automatically joining them... fuck 'em all, I'm not joining anyone. The scientist is a douche using us for his own benefit, and so is this guy. The scientist in the name of science, the moron in the name of the rebellion. Re: The Gift of Rebirth
Omnis glared at the kid who decided to stay, "You only say that because you got accepted into this joint. We, on the other hand, have failed, and what they do to us because of it, is pretty much unknown, though as far as I know, we could still be accepted, regardless... but I'd rather not risk it." He looked at Rose, "And whether or not we want to join someone is entirely up to us, and I don't consider it dumb to have someone to lean on." He was starting to get a bit annoyed by this girl, but he'd probably never see her again if she were going on her own. He walked up to the man of the rebellion. "I guess I'm making the right choice..." he thought to himself.
Re: The Gift of Rebirth
Rose sighed, knowing she'd have to give a lengthy explanation- she hated hearing herself talk. "For one, I Never said it was dumb to have someone to rely on, however, I don't know if you've noticed, but it's not someone to lean on. It's like joining the army- actually, it IS joining the army. Not that I don't believe there's good reason for rebellion, it's just stupid. The only reason I'm giving my opinion is because believe it or not you snobby little prick, I'm trying to save your lives, not get you killed, so you- little midget brat, watch your damn attitude."
She looked at Mattias. "As for you, at least you're polite. Point is, they don't do anything to people who fail, they record that you fail and maybe try to give you more tests, but you're let go after that." she shook her head. "Though I doubt that'll change their minds as they both seem ridiculously thickheaded... Not that I'll mind having either of them dead, but still, I have a decent amount of respect for the taller one still.. but god this little kid, and I thought he was decent, too. That swayed my opinion pretty quickly..." She shook her head. "Anyways, like I said. I'm on no ones side but my own, and anyone else who agrees with me that is, dunno if that'll be anyone anyway though- but this way, instead of having one side or the other as my enemy, I have none. And if for some reason I change my mind about joining a side, I can do that later."

Re: The Gift of Rebirth
Mattias withdrew his hand, not wanting to stand there in that position for very long and look stupid. He stood by James, "I won't bother wondering how you can confirm that. As you said, it's like joining the army, and the army is practically one big, murderous family. I'd much rather stand by this one," Mattias pointed at James, "than the one over there who's shown us no hospitality at all." He decided to look at Rose while he was talking to her, "You seem like you want to go back to the dull life I'm sure you lived instead of overthrowing tyranny, I'm sorry you feel like that, but my name is Mattias, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance...Miss...?" Mattias was putting on the persona of the fair mannered gentleman Mr. Jason always was to everyone he met. He was playing a mind game, and he wanted to see how the others could possibly react.

Re: The Gift of Rebirth
Ganku stood in the elevator, and observed the others who were arguing. Ganku Didnt give a dam about politics, they were teh same to him. Aslong as im left alone what diference does it make he thought to himself. Eccept now that he thought it in his head it just sounded stupid and selfish and he cursed himself for overthinking this situation. He stepepd out of the elevator and stood inbetween the two sides. He didnt know what to do, taht was for sure but in his mind he figured just going back to his cottage was out of the question now. Ganku knew that inteligence was never his strong suit, so trying to come up with a solution to his dilema wasn't going to happend anytime soon. Either side would just use me as a pawn but is taht any worse than just standing by and doing nothing? Screw this he thought and he turned around to Nybol and asked "Devrais-je m'impliquer ? ou devrions-nous simplement en voiture ? Im pas bon à prendre des décisions." as he amde no effort to try to hide is indicision from his voice.

Re: The Gift of Rebirth
"Dull? No, not really. Awfully rude of you to say that. Don't even bother pretending to be polite. Besides, who said I was going back to normal anyway?" she said ignoring whatever he said thereafter. She turned to Ganku, and spoke to him, though he talked to the other instead. "Apparemment, vous devez choisir un camp. Toutefois, je crois que vous devez rester neutre. En faisant cela serait beaucoup plus facile à long terme. De cette manière nous ferait pas d'ennemis."
