Death Note: Online - Episode 1 - Betrayal
Sakura TV News Reporter Chrisy with her long blonde hair sat on the otherside of the wooden bench, staring blanky at a gun being pointed it at her. A man dressed in black was smiling, holding the gun to her face, his messy brown hair covering his left eye. His eyes narrowed, his teeth chewing the stiff piece of seaweed in between his white teeth.
"So, Kira, any last words?" The man said, his voice deep and grave.
"I told you! I'm not Kira!" Reporter Chrisy screamed at the top of her voice, tears sliding down her cheeks.
The man, with his free hand, scratches his head. His smile suddenly disappeared as his face turned into an angry expression. His index finger grew tighter around the metal trigger, his hand somewhat shaking. He spat the seaweed out of his mouth, the seaweed and his saliva sticking to the marble flooring of the networking station.
"Say your prayers," the man said.
Reporter Chrisy winces, squeezing her eyes, waiting for the bullet which would end her life. The man pulled the trigger, and a large bang could be heard throughout Sakura TV News Networking Station, as Chrisy fell over on to the floor. She had fainted.
The man smiled, taking out an orange cellphone and typing several combinations of numbers. When he dialed the number, he put the phone to his ear gently, his smile slowly disappearing while he heard the voice of the answerer.
"Yes, W?" A high pitched voice muffled. The voice was being covered up so people would not reconize the voice, something good detective always took into consideration. W knew this by now, seeing how he had been in the detective agency in America for the past three years.
"L," W said with a bold voice. "Chrisy Takayalluq is not Kira. If she was then I would have died. We know that Kira needs a name and a face, and she saw my face and she knows my name. She thought this gun was real, this toy gun. However, with the information I have I have the feeling I know who Kira is."
"As do I," L said smartly. "Please tell me the evidence right away. I have the feeling we both know who Kira is."
W closed his eyes slowly, remembering every bit of information he had gathered within the past few weeks on the Kira case when he first flew in from America to aid L in the Kira investigation. "We know Kira needs a name and a face. I sent a friend of mine to speak with our suspect, and my friend turned up death. I rigged the Sakura TV Station Vault and made it so that all of Japan knew money was being stolen, but the visuals did not show the face of who was stealing the money. The name, however, I got someone in the station to say who was stealing the money. All Kira needed was a face, so Kira went to Sakura TV. I saw only one person run into the building, and when he looked at me he ran off quickly. After that, when the alarms went off, Kira was not there."
L stopped listening and hung up on W, which was something W had gotten used to in the past few weeks. After flying in from New York City, USA, he had learned much about the culture of Japan. Sushi was his favourite feature of Japan. W had learned that Kira needed a face and name to kill when he read all of the evidence L had provided him. Of course, L did not show himself to him. They kept their conversations in short phone conversations.
W walked out of the station, ignoring the fainted Chrisy. He walked down the barren streets, rain falling from the heavens and thunder beginning to roar. The pungent smell of rain was in the air, rain drops echoing through the empty roads. Not a single car could be seen. It was well after midnight.
"Kira," W said to himself, his face turning into a slight frown. "I know who you are. It's only a matter of time, Lelouch Lamparouge".
He walked down the road when he suddenly realised something. He grabbed the phone, dialing the same number he had dialed several moments before, and put the cellular phone to his ear.
"That isn't how the real L I know talks," W exclaimed. "'As do I' is not something he says when he knows the same things someone else does! This is bad..."
"Yes?" The answerer said, their voice high pitched and muffled.
"Listen to me," W yelled into the phone. "I know you aren't L. Who are you? Where's L?"
The high pitched voice laughed. "You are a smart one, W. L is dead. It appears that he has died of a heart attack. What's this? He left a message!"
"You slimy freak," W shouted. "Who is this? Lelouch, I know that's you!"
The voice laughed once more. "They call me Near ... I am the one who was assigned to take L's place after he died. He's been dead for the past week."
W closed his eyes quickly, memories coming back. L had not phoned him for a week after he had seen Kira at the TV Station, who was unable to kill him. That explained why L did not say a thing. He was dead.
"Near," W said slowly. "What ... is the message?"
He was highly suspicious of this "Near" character. If Near was really assigned to be L, then ... how'd he know L was dead? L told Watari that if he were to die, he phone me right away stating that L had died, then I'd tell the United States Government that L had died. There was no way Watari would be able to die, because Watari's identity had been taken off the names database. His real name was in a driver's license which was several miles below the surface of the Pacific Ocean waters, he thought. However, there is a chance Watari had also died. But Watari's face is under a bunch of plastic he had obtained in surgery, so his face is not available to be seen by anyone. Watari would have phoned me right away to tell me that a person such as Near would be coming to replace L. That can only mean one thing - Near is Kira.
Lelouch Lamparouge sat on a leather chair with the rotting body of L covered in maggots. He brushed the dust off of his leather jacket and blue jeans as he rested his legs on top of the head of L. Lelouch smiled, putting the microphone to his mouth as he spat into it, saying what the letter he had written in his mind had said.
"Dear W," Lelouch said into the mic. "But I am sorry to inform you that I am dead. It is only right for Kira to reign superior among us human beings, so he has the right to rule over this tainted world which he shall fix. You will not catch Kira, and because I am the best in the world, or at least was, I highly doubt that you of all people will catch Kira. Yours truly, Dead L".
Lelouch laughed, covering the microphone with the palm of his hand. He had gotten so far in creating a pure, new world. He would not allow a detective such as W foil his plans, especially when all of Europe had already fallen to Kira's supremacy.
Knowing W, it is only logical that he'd be thinking why Watari had not told him that L had been killed. He is not some idiot detective like all the others ... no ... he is better than those detective. L was no challenge, but this man seems like a threat to me. It's as if he is the real L, and this was just ... a decoy. It's too bad for him that Watari works for me now, he thought to himself. He frowned, looking up at the ceiling which had several drops of blood that had flown off the dagger which he had stabbed L with. I beleive that W already knows that I am Kira, but he does not have enough evidence against me. But I definitly know that he is most likely pondering over the questions of why Watari had not phoned him up. This is truely a battle of the minds here. I know what move he will anticipate next. He's going to try finding Watari and talk to him himself ... but Watari is the most unlikely place someone such as him would be. It'll be impossible for such an intelligent person to realize that Watari is in that sort of place.
"Now," Lelouch spoke into the mic. "I do not need you anymore. I know who Kira is now. Be off!"
And with that, Lelouch turned off the microphone and threw it across the room in happy anger.
W dropped the cellular phone and walked onwards. The rain had stopped, but thunder continued to roar as lightning began to clash about in the sky. Thoughts appeared in his head as he thought of how he would find Watari. His computer contained detailed files on the tracing chips W had placed in Watari's clothes. All W had to do we enter his apartment and open his computer files and find where Watari was.
He started to bite his fingernail, looking up at the sky being lit by great strikes of lightning. The possibilities were all absorbed into his head, and he was slowly getting a headache. This was a hard case to crack.
If Lelouch Lamparouge really were Kira, then he would kill me right now. But Kira is one to joke around and play around with his food before he eats it, W thought to himself. All these possibilities are endless. Or perhaps L replaced my picture with another picture of his Task Force members to trick Lelouch. He probably can't kill me yet with this power of death of his without my actual face. But ... I guess I will have to forget about Watari. Watari is either helping Kira or is dead or will be dead. I have no intentions of helping Watari either. With all the evidence I have, I can establish a warrant to search Lelouch. However, I do beleive he will have some extra protection with him when I attempt to search him.
W took out a package of seaweed and chewed on seven strips of green seaweed quickly. He savored the taste. With seaweed his mind could clear and regain control of his thoughts. Now he could think and deduct the possibilties.
If I were to bring Lelouch to court right now, then he might be imprisoned for life. There is no doubt in my mind that he is Kira, he thought. I am sure the court will find Lelouch guilty and he will be charged with life in prison. However, there is a chance that Lelouch does in fact know my face and real name, so there is a chance that he will kill me before I am imprisoned.
"Put your hands up," a few voices called from behind W. The clicking of the reloading of guns could be heard loudly. "You are under arrest for the crimes you have commited against Kira. Death is the only way to pay for your crimes. You will be imprisoned and shown to Kira for him to kill you. We are the police."
W turned around and put his hands up into the air. His eyes widened as sweat slowly rolled down his grave face, his heart beat beating faster. Rain poured from the dark skies once more, thunder roaring louder than ever. W closed his eyes as a storm of bullets went through him as his body fell on to the wet street. The police officers left W's motionless body as a group of bystanders came to watch a great detective fall.

Re: Death Note: Online - Episode 1 - Betrayal
I guess more would be good. You should probably make the next one a prequel. Like how in fight club it starts out nearly at the end of the movie then he thinks back to the beggining. On the next one you might wanna begin with Lelouch's First few killings

Pretty cool, but here's a tip. Don't always refer to someone as 'News Reporter Chrisy'. And don't use adjectives like 'L said smartly'.
