As Jean gave up on his search and saw the route ending, he sighed. Looking around for Geodude, he found that the floating rock Pokemon went missing! Jean looked back, finding that Geodude had found a Pidgy!

"Geodude, tackle it!" As Geodude charged forward, Jean scanned the Pidgy. "Pidgy; the flying Bird pokemon," the Pokedex would announce. Of course, Jean knew that much. As the bird recoiled, it pecked the rock with its beak. Geodude backed away a few feet.

Geodude's Tackle: 12 - 5/3 = 11 - 1.6 ~= 11 - 2 = 9 damage.
Pidgy's Peck: 1 damage.

"Alright, enough Geodude!" The boy gripped the pokeball he had prepared and launched it at the Pidgy. The ball seemed to absorb Pidgy as it shook wildly. The Pidgy seemed to be resisting, yet Jean knew he could catch it.

Shane poked Kenji on the side of the head in a stereotypically comical, anime-like manner, "Why should you go ahead? Just so you can train while we're gone?..." Shane said, only half-meaning it, "Besides, I think Dragyn can at least hold out for another couple battles... and I probably should be training Mankey right now..." He said, taking out Mankey's Pokeball. "I'm not sure about Alice, but for now, I'll be staying in the forest."

"Eh, whatever." Kenji would say with a shrug, continuing in the forest, nearly seeing the exit. He would spot a green inchworm-like monster. "Go Squirtle!" he would say, throwing his pokemon out. Squirtle would than quickly tackle his opponent. The Caterpie, in response, would tackle back at him.

"If Alice hadn't told me about that Potion, Dragyn would be done for..." Shane thought to himself. "Let's continue to Pewter, shall we?"

Alice rolled her eyes. "God they're so ignorant." She could probably just tag along and have them defeat the upcoming Pokemon so she could make it out safely though. She smirked at her brilliant idea, and continued walking. They were somewhat close, and then she saw the building up in front of her. "That's the way out." she said. Gastly quickly darted through the air towards the exit, and she reached out to try to grab him but failed- not that she would be successful anyway, after all, he is a ghost type.

She instead tagged along running behind, then wondered where everyone else had gone...

Shane was nearing the building that got him and the rest of the "group" out of the forest, "Home free~" Shane thought to himself, and then, just as he was about three feet from the building, a Pokemon fell on his head... "SONOVA..." Shane started as the Pokemon started attacking.

"I'm tired of this... Dragyn, kill it..." Shane said, half-serious (though he looked like he meant it), and Dragyn used Wrap on the chrysalis.

Shane walked into the Gate leaving the forest in a huff, tired of all these wild encounters... he feels like he's in a Turn-based RPG. Dragyn was right behind him, and they both waited for Alice and Kenji, "Hurry up, you two," He started, "Pewter awaits!"

"So, where's Alice?" Kenji would say, eying Shane as he wondered where she was. With a shrug, he spot a wild caterpie. He was right at the exit, too, which was good. "Go, Nidoran!" he would say, throwing out his Nidoran to fight it. The Caterpie would quickly tackle the Nidoran. 12-8/3=9

"I think I see the exit!" Kenji would say with a smile, returning Squirtle from its pokeball as he would walk out of the forest.

Seeing Kenji fight gave Shane an idea, "Once I heal Dragyn up, I'll head back here and maybe catch a Pokemon to fight the gym with... Kenji, you're from Pewter, what kind of gym is there?" He asked, looking back at Kenji, "And as for Alice... she's right in front of us..." He said to Kenji. He entered the exit (wut?) and ran up beside Alice... to see Pewter City.

"Huh..." he said, as he looked at the city, "Interesting..." He ran ahead of Alice, "I'll be at the Pokemon center to heal up Dragyn, see you guys in a sec!" and he ran towards said building.

Alice, who was ahead of them, had already exited and was already in Pewter. She had stopped at the Pokemon center and healed up Gastly and now she stood and stared at the gym which was quite far away from her. "Hmm." She looked towards the route that was east of Pewter and decided she may want to do some intense training before facing Brock. She walked into the Pokemart, and looked around at what they had. She had only 1000PD in her pocket but planned on changing that soon.

Kenji had left the forest, arriving in his home town. "Woah, I'm finally back! I wonder how my family is." he would think as he stepped out of the forest. He first went to the pokemon center to heal up his fainted Nidoran and his injured Squirtle. After that, he would go to the pokemart, looking what to buy. He had 1300PD, since he gained some from beating Gabe in a fight. He would look on the shelves, wondering what to buy, and if he should buy a gift for his parents. "Oh, hey." he would say to Alice, than looking back on the shelves, wondering what to get.

As Shane mentioned before, after healing Dragyn, he ran back towards Viridian Forest and tried to catch a Pokemon, and it was pretty easy too, for the second he stepped into the forest again, he encountered a wild Kakuna.

Alice traveled back into the forest to train a bit. She was greeted with a Kakuna, which Gastly took a liking to attacking.

"Go, night shade!" Alice yelled, and Gastly swiftly attacked the small bug Pokemon. Swooping over it the ghost drenched the bug in a coat of purple mist, which then stung it immensely.

20(+2) - 12/4 = 18. Kakuna has 4 HP left.

Kakuna then rammed into Gastly, an attack that hardly affected it.

12-12/3 = 8. Gastly has 13 HP left.

Gastly then finished off Kakuna with a tackle that oh so obviously knocked out the Kakuna, letting Gastly reap the rewards of a fight well done.

6/35 -> 24/35 Experience.

((Guys, anyone who didn't reach the beginning of the forest yet, I'll let you do this so we can all be caught up: you can jump up one level, and you can be at the front of the forest. We only just arrived at Pewter, sooo...))

Kenji would shrug, going back in the forest to train. He would look at Shane, who had just failed at catching a Kakuna. "Nice try, Shane." he'd state, now turning his attention back towards a Caterpie that was going across the floor. "Go, Squirtle!" he would say, sending his Squirtle out to fight it. "Use Tackle!" Kenji would say, the Squirtle tackling the Caterpie, as it would tackle the Squirtle back. 18-12/3=14 12-15/3=7

Kenji would leave the route, returning his Squirtle back into its pokeball as he went to go to his house. "Catch you guys later!" he'd say to Shane and Alice, going to visit his family.

The Kakuna was set free from its Pokeball, and after hearing Kenji's snide comment, Shane decided he couldn't do anything without making it faint. He told Dratini to use Wrap and knocked the Kakuna out. (+18 EXP)

He decided to head back to Pewter and rethink his strategy. After healing up his Pokemon at the Pokemon center, he took out the 1000 Prof. Oak gave him at the beginning of his journey. He bought three potions and a Pokeball, leaving him with only 200 left. He'll catch that Pokemon to help him with this gym, no matter what.

Jean with his newly caught Pidgy entered the new city: Viridian City. There, he entered a Pokemon Center after spotting the giant red pokeball sign. Although he wasn't too hurt, Geodude recovered to his full strength. Looking around to the west, he saw the entrance to Route 22. Jean released Geodude from his pokeball and headed off to Route 22.

After getting healed up yet again Gastly and Alice walked back into Viridian forest, and hopefully this would be one of the last few times they'd have to do so... for a while anyway. They encountered a metapod and the fight was on. Gastly began it as usual with Night Shade, then right after was hit by a tackle from the bug pokemon.

Kakuna was able to KO Mankey with one more tackle, and Mankey flung towards Shane's feet, "I'm sorry, Mankey, your sacrifice will not be in vein." Shane said, as if Mankey were dead. He returned Mankey, and sent out Dragyn.

Now that Shane was sure Kakuna's health was much lower, he took out the Pokeball he recently bought at Pewter's Pokemart. He threw it at the Kakuna and watched the ball wabble.

Kenji had opened the door, his mom hugging him. "How was your journey?" she would say, curious about his adventures and what he had done. "Oh, yeah, it was great! I got two new pokemon." he would state, letting out Nidoran and Squirtle. He would stay for a while, playing with his parents and chatting, until he had to leave. "I'm going to go challenge Brock." he would say to his parents as he took his leave, waiting outside the gym, ready to go in.

Kakuna escaped the Pokeball, and attacked Dragyn with a tackle.

Shane gritted his teeth, "Okay, Mankey... your Sacrifice was in vein before... but I will make it NOT in vein! *haha* Shane thought to himself, as he took out another Pokeball and threw it at Kakuna. He then pressed A + B + Down.

Alice ran up to Kenji. "Hey Kenji, you're gonna challenge Brock now huh?" she asked though the answer was clear. "There are two trainers on the inside." she informed him. "They each will battle you before you make it to Brock. I wish ya luck!" she said as she darted off to the Pokemon center, and then to Route 3 to train.

((Also Kenji, just RP going in, I'll handle it, trust me... it'll be a legit fight >:3))

She spotted a pidgey and got ready to battle. The pidgey got the first move and started it off with a peck.

Gastly then responded with a Night Shade, as usual, and luckily it did a decent amount of damage to the bird.

Pidgey repeated the move leaving Gastly with only one last hit point. Gastly then used a tackle to finish off the bird, luckily striking the finishing blow, just in time.

20 - 15/3 = 15.

7/40 -> 29/40.

"Alright, let's do this!" Kenji would say, smiling at Alice as he entered the Gym, looking at the entire rock themed place. He would walk forward to see that generic guy who is near the gym and shit. "Grass and Water types are good against this gym!" as Kenji passed him. "I already knew that!" he would think to himself, walking up to the first trainer, ready to fight.

Kakuna escaped the Pokeball... again... It tackled Dragyn, leaving her really weak.

Shane was getting pissed off now, and then threw one last Pokeball at the Kakuna, "IF THIS DOESN'T WORK, I SWEAR TO GOD, DRAGYN WILL KILL YOU."

The boy readied his Pokeballs, ready for the first challenger of the day, Kenji. "Lets do this!" he said, full of energy. He threw his Pokeball and out came a Geodude.

"Go Squirtle!" Kenji would say with enthusiasm, ready to fight. "Use Water Gun!" Kenji would say, the Squirtle shooting water from its mouth. 21 (+2) -24/3-15 x 1.5=22.5=23 The Squirtle would knock out the Geodude in one hit, and await for the next pokemon.

Shane was enraged... no... he was in a somewhat sadistic mood as of now... so after Kakuna attacked after being released (-7 HP), Shane commanded Dragyn to use Wrap and not let go until the Kakuna was surely dead. Dragyn understood, but didn't feel like killing another Pokemon, but had to do as it was commanded. (+18 EXP)

Dragyn stopped wrapping Kakuna after it was unconscious, but Shane seemed please nonetheless. He decided to move onto Pewter, maybe try another tactic later on... or maybe he didn't even really need Kakuna, who knows. "Things will resolve themselves," he thought, healing up Dragyn and Mankey.
