You might find it pretentious of me to offer a batch of suggestions as my first forum post but please overlook it. I’m also not entirely clear on how in depth you’d prefer they not be.

I’ll start with communications. In that area there are two game functions that could stand for just a smidge more flexibility, the agencies and cell phones. Organizations such as the Task Force would do well to have intercommunication devices installed in the lobby. The receiving device would likely be placed in the agency head’s office. At the very least this should stifle a portion of the shouts requesting to be let into a room.

Cell phones are easily one of the more brilliant additions I’ve seen since starting and they’re a joy to have, really, its just they’re so tedious, memorizing numbers and entering them each time. If a speed dial function were added, to record four or five names for one-click dialing, I believe it would help things move along a tad quicker.

I vaguely recall hearing about a hospital facility being considered. If that’s given the green light, you might consider medical examiners as a role. Under the direction of a hospital head they would store bodies in a morgue. You may have noticed they tend to litter the streets after a time. If not this, as it’s a tad elaborate, you may consider merely endowing some characters with the option to inspect corpses to determine the cause of death in place of the medical examiners.

Finally with random mugging being the new follow up to random searches, I think an appropriate detouring for those who perform accidentally would be a Warning Toggle function. The base of the concept is a default setting where your attempts to search, mug, or shoot people prompt a pop up asking to confirm the action. This could perhaps also be switched off for those familiar with the mechanics.

Umm... can we have suits? Since in most of Death Note nearly everyone wore suits and ties and it would look cool on the characters.

Also a Head Of Police Department would be a good role so he/she can manage the police force until becomes relevant to the plot and then takes over the police.

Hospitals would be a good idea if its accepted. And maybe a way one may regain HP slowly over time if they are injured, just like the way a person's body heals it's injuries over time.

That's all the suggestions I have for now.

A simple suggestion I totally agree on the hospital thing. It would be a fun experience and also white T-Shirts.. I remember the earlier version of DNO. Where you can buy a shirt and make it whatever color. I always got the white one.

I want to add something to that... if it does become real. Wouldn't be a good idea to make it so that whenever someone gets healed in the hospital their information (Name, Blood Type{No idea if that would matter.} Gender, IQ etc..) gets stored in a computer at the back of the hospital. But so that we don't have Kira charging to the back of the hospital, it could be in a room that Only the Medical Examiners have a key to.

Well,you should add that Hospital / a healing system in,I hate it when i am stabbed or shot for random reasons. ( Or if the L is batshit insane and stabs you to initiate you,which has happened to me. )

And maybe a chance that you will lose health by bleeding,unless it is tended to with Medical Bandages,or Ripped cloth.

There is a Hospital and a Healing System. There are First Aid Kits, which heals some damage you were given.

Well damn,i could of survived that round....

But how about that bleeding system + bandaging system?

Or how about a system that takes out the chance of taking damage picklocking, and replacing it with a Security System that a person could buy to attach to the lock. Causing a alarm when sent off, There could be better systems that work better,and maybe a expensive security system that re-enables the chance of damage.


And maybe some lockpicks that you have to buy from the blackmarket that let you pick the locks,so you don't assume you are able to use your high intel to pick the lock with your fingernails,causing damage....

There could be

- Rusty Lockpick

- Regular Lockpick

- Bronze Lockpick

- Silver Lockpick

- Gold Lockpick

- Pickgun? ( Youtube it )

etc.

I hope this isn't too in depth, I noticed I posted it in the wrong section of the forums as well...

Library: A place to hide things and take out random books, like the story of Hachiko or nursery rhyme books for people *Coughcough* who use Nursery Rhyme's to kill as Kira.

Bank: A place to store money, robbable but very hard to rob, and failing the robbery will do alot of damage, good place to store money when you get alot from stocks.

School: Bring back the school from Death Note: Online one. Only elaborate, add more class rooms, a gym room, etc etc.

Church: Make a church, it'd be a cool addition to the world of Death Note and add more RP options, like a Priest, add a confessional as well for an addition to Mafia RP.

Real Estate Office: A place to buy a key to a house so you can actually lock up, still lock pickable, but it'd be a good place to store objects and have RPs.

Wammy House: I liked the old Wammy RPs and the Wammy House itself. I would love to see it return.

Airport Working: In addition to making the airport work, add a small Yen Fee for flights, a five minute travel penalty (to act as if they are on the plane, they wouldn't just teleport there immediatly). Where would they go you ask? America! An American map pretty similar to that of Japan's map, a Mall, Stock Market, no role bases though.

America Map: See Above; It'd be an addition to Roleplays and make Kira's killing slightly more difficult, making Kira have the need to travel more.

The hospital should have a Role or two when Roles are given out.

Head Surgeon role.
Think about it, who the hell's gonna look over the hospital? With a role, they can charge what they want and heal the person. Kinda like a medic.

And Chet's heal over time suggestion was pretty good as well. When caught in an explosion by a grenade, and losing all that health, permanently, you have to go buy meds, but what if you blew all your yen, got mugged, and have no way of getting yen other than mugging? Failed muggings could also kill you making it a lesser choice.

I would like to edit that. Not any person, use it like the IQ system, people with an IQ of 140 or higher can examine bodies. I think it'd be a good addition.

I think that there shouldn't be a chance.... (EVEN IN THE SMALLEST) of getting shinigami if you don't get it as a role. Because after the addition... the people who became shinigami starting killing people, giving DN to others and so on. But I would agree on having 2 shinigami per round, chosen by the host of course, to make it more intersting. For example, One shinigami is assigned to Kira (like always), and the other shinigami is allowed to find their own Owner of the DN (like Rem did with Misa). But the catch is that the player that the shinigami chooses cannot have a role already (Like L having a DN defeats the purpose; M with DN is deadly and so on). That is my opinion/view on that update.

( I got this idea from the broken Tomahawk bug )

A non-lethal police shotgun,maybe a Beanbag gun,or a gun that shoots balls of fake blood.

Anything like that,since the Tomahawk works very well as a crowd control weapon,or to scare off a guy who won't leave,and is annoying you. It just costs too much to be a non-lethal weapon. If you do add it,don't make it too obvious that its a fake,IE: Jerry shoots Chris with the Blood Pellet gun.
