Ok when i watched episode 37 of DN on youtube i saw alot of comments about favorite's.So this topic is abouy your favorite DN character.

Why he/she/it is your favorite character:L is my favorite character becouse he is beyond intellegent(more smarter than light),He likes sugar like me, And he is cool

What did they do in the series:L Tries to catch kira A.K.A Light Yagami the killer who witholds the deathnote.

What they did EPIC(optional):L died Trying to catch kira.He would of lived but Misa's shinigami Rem killed him becouse Light made her.

Why he/she/it is your favorite character: He's awesome.
What did they do in the series: Blow shit up, nearly catch Kira, get the DN, work for the Mafia.
What they did EPIC(optional): Be badass & hot.

Favorite Character: L
Why he/she/it is your favorite character: Simply put, L is the most perplexing character in the anime/movies.
What did they do in the series: *cough* copy how I sit *cough* Win against Light (I follow the movies )
What they did EPIC(optional): Eat sugar cubes.

Favorite Character: Near
Why he/she/it is your favorite character: Near is an intellectual mind, one far surpassing that of the average man. Hes an outcast, so to say, in the sense that he has hardly anyone relate to. Hes stubborn, and hates to lose, and can be very childish at times. Whilst he shows at least some capability of trust, its known he doesn't mind decieving people to get what he wants. He also likes toys, and thats awesome.
What did they do in the series: He WON.
What they did EPIC(optional): He managed to catch Kira, and outwitted Mikami, which was the coolest scene in the anime, or at least, one of them.

Gotta be Ryuk..... L takes second place.

Why he/she/it is your favorite character: Because it's Mello of jeasus sake!
What did they do in the series:Mafia made things go boom!Was a mini Kira Nuff said

What did they do in the series: All the groundwork for Near's victory (except some of Mello's kickassery), Drink Tea, Eat Animal Crackers, Sit in a Funky Way, be Awesome, be way sexier than Light despite the artist's intentions.
What they did EPIC(optional): Kick Light (and himself) across a room.

I forgot about L and Light's fight... That was pretty epic.

I'd have to say I rather liked Matsuda in the anime series.

Favorite Character: Matsuda

Why he/she/it is your favorite character: Matsuda is one I can relate to - new to a lot of things and a lot of the times, rather innocent and dumb. But, a lot of moments in the anime he seems to shine, and he's just cool that way; just like how he infiltrated Yotsuba.

What did they do in the series: Things for L - he was a badboy in infiltrating Yotsuba and had gotten out of there in a way that I found funny.

What they did EPIC(optional): THE GUY FREAKING SHOT DOWN LIGHT CRAZILY! IT WAS SO EPIC!!! (Him crying a little made it more epic).

Favorite Character: Misa Amane

Why he/she/it is your favorite character: Because she has Rem...

What did they do in the series: She is the second Kira...

What they did EPIC(optional): Remove most of her clothing...

Aaaaand.. He's smexy whether he's Kira or not; best of both worlds, he can look totally innocent and adorable, and he can look totally FRICKING EVIL ... and adorable. <3 I'm proud to say my computer HAS crashed from having too much Light st00f on it, and that it Kira laughs at me everytime I turn it on. ^^ Literally. *goes on about her collection of Light figures, posters, and wallscrolls.. Woo~*

What did they do in the series: LIGHT picked up the DEATH NOTE, and if he wasn't such a brilliant genius who decided to stick with it (yes, I do give credit to Ryuk for starting it by dropping the Death Note in the first place), Death Note would've been a one shot because L would've pwn'd anyone else who tried. He laughed crazily, that adorable cute laugh of his. <3 <3 And he killed those bastards who was harrassing that poor lady. D: WOO LIGHT! DEFEND US FROM RAPISTS!

What they did EPIC(optional): He took a potato chip... And ATE IT!

Not only that, but the epic proportions it was when he gave up the Death Note the got it back after writing in that tiny piece in his watch with his BLOOD. <3 THAT SMIRK OF HIS RIGHT THERE WAS SO EPIC I DIED HAPPY AND REVIVED MYSELF JUST TO WATCH/READ MORE.

Favorite Character: Teru Mikami

Why He is my favorite: Has alot of admirable qualities one of them being loyalty. Even though he did slip up and ruin Light's plans he proved to be nearly as intelligent as Light. He also reminds me a bit of myself.

What He did in the Series: He was Light's right hand man in the second arch. He continued to Kira killings and was Lights Ace in the hole. Though His slip ended up foiling Light's schemes getting them both killed in the process ( depending on anime or manga Mikami more of a gradual thing) .

What he did Epic: He killed in an epic way his pen flashing across pages and I mean what one word can beat Sakujo?

Favorite Character:Matsuda
Why he/she/it is your favorite character:A funny character.. Felt like he had a great expression. Alway's tried to make everyone feel better.. Even if unintentional. I just really liked him.. I guess because. If I was going to be one of those characters... I would be him.
What did they do in the series: One of the.. task force members. A light hearted guy, comic relief which I enjoy personaly. Alway's was the type who enjoyed a good comedy.
What they did EPIC(optional): Comic relief.. That's pretty epic for me.
