No, it was a GT -- Gifted and Talented -- trip down to Houston and Galveston here in Texas. We're studying how communities recover from disasters--in this case, Hurricane Ike back in September. We did some volunteer work and interviewed some locals. Galveston's population got cut in half--they had about 60,000 people before the hurricane hit and even now they're at just about 31,000. There are still people who have flooded basements and some without power and such. Luckily, it could have been a lot worse if it hadn't been for the seawall.

We also went to NASA and Moody Gardens and visited. Le awesome. Coolest thing I realized is that the stuff I'm planning on going into for college -- computer science, software engineering, mathematics, and physics degrees -- are needed by NASA for some of their work on the International Space Station in the next two decades.

Hard Candy won the Austin Film Critics Award, the PFCS Award, the Audience Award, Best Film, & Best Screenplay from Catalonian International Film Festival! D=< And was nominated for a bunch of other shizzle...

Red Cliff will no doubt be featured at some future awards ceremony but it has currently recieved several award wins and nominations from the Asian and Hong Kong fil awards!
