The Gift of Rebirth [Sign Up]

One thousand years ago…
In the brightest era of our time, we were destroyed. No one knows what it was, but it left a mark on our world. Suddenly, there was no power, no technology functioning. The world was in chaos without communication, but one man, Genko John came and took a role as leader for our world. He led us out of the dark ages we were thrown in, and then, ten years later when the power returned, Genko was chosen as a leader for the world. In an effort to unite the now destroyed lands, Genko sent many of his own men to each of the locations that were now islands. No one could’ve described what had happened, people say it was a giant flash, a blinding light, others say it was God, punishing us for our ignorance, so many other theories came, and the original and true events remain unknown. Now in the present day, Genko’s descendant rules the land. One thing, mysteriously occurred five hundred years after the events of what is labeled as the “big flash” it was that people began to carry a strange gene, or piece of DNA inside them that gave them the Gift, the Gift is labeled that because many believed that God gave us the Gift so that we would take ourselves out of the dark times. When the gift was realized, Genko’s descendant decided to at first observe and finally, he came to a decision, he saw that when anyone at all began to go through the years of thirteen(13) through seventeen(17) they would realize their own Gift, and he would take them for their gift to be tested, depending on how they tested, they would either keep their Gift or be thrown down away. Later on again, a new technology came in that could take the gift away from someone. And now in the present day, if the test is failed, the person’s gift is taken away, never to be returned. A descendant of Genko’s now controls almost the entire world and has armies in almost every location. Locations changed so much, that now they were completely new, English being the most commonly spoken language. Though now races were not native to a certain place due to how much the lands continuously changed over the years. Though through all the changes, the world itself remains to be called “Earth”. Over the years however, a rebellion against Genko has started, and is spread out over the world with their best aspect being their communication systems.
(On a scale of 1-10 I have made tried to show the sizes of the place, so you can have a decent understanding.)
Now, where you may have great, or little impact on the roleplay, depending on how you present it, and how you want it to impact your own RP.
(7)Gaia – The original name was unknown, covered in mountains and fairly cold, yet lush and green, common languages spoken are English and French; common animals are Polar Bears, Caribou, and Siberian Tigers. Has pretty recent technology, just a year behind the rest.
(5)Genkamaia – A set of islands off in the west, scattered but connected by a central trading post, poor economy and not a lot of current technology, however they are lush and green and are famous places for vacation, but the tourism does not help the economy due to the recent amount of debts.
(3)Dimo – A desert land, dramatic differences in Day and Night temperatures, the ones who live here are people who like to go to small places where they can be away from the everyday annoyances, there is no tourism at all due to the fact that no one visits unless they’re planning on staying, so no hotels in this land. Average, balanced economy allows them to get decent technology, they were able to obtain the technology from before the big flash, but unlike Genkamaia, it has access to much better technology.
(9)Zarboniko – The largest land mostly made of snow and grass, separating the land into the snow and green. It has the coldest temperatures of any land and it is the home of the family of the famous Genko John. Zarboniko has the best technology and is the most widely populated, most of the population live there for the recent technology, it is undoubtedly the best treated land.
(When I mean technology, I mean use your imagination, it’s been 995 years since 2000, I’ll give my own examples during the roleplay, and you’ll be able to understand better, maybe even have your own examples.
As for gifts, I will use a randomizer to generate a set amount of “gifts” they could be anything, but in general they are special abilities created by the “big flash”, so you might get something interesting, you might get something you don’t like, NO ONE gets a re-randomize on their ability.
Also, another important point, no matter where you picked as your hometown, you’re going to be at the testing site, just a little note, but during the RP most of the lands might be visited.)

Physical Description: Ganku is slightly taller then average with short brown hair, brown eyes and clean shaven. He wears a fur hat to keep his head warm and wears a large leather jacket with several torn patches and scuff marks from Caribou hunting. he also wears blue jeans and black hunting boots and carries a Bowie hunting knife.
Personality: Ganku is quiet and shy, he's spent most of his life in the northern part of gaia hunting in the wilderness and going to the local school nearby that only had a bit more then a 100 kids,so he wasnt all taht comfortable near crowds of people. He also only speaks french (im gonna use an online translator so for you out tehre that actaully speak french and get pissed at me for butchering the language, bite me) and can get by with signlanguage that he learned from a mute kid he befriended at school, besides that he can only understand a few words of english. He's also indiferent to the diferent political groups fighitng for power and only wants to be left alone.
History: Ganku has spent most of his out of school life in the northern wilderness hunting for a living with his father and younger brother. He has always liked his way of life and only cared about keeping his family safe. He was reluctant to leave for his test but was urged to go by his father so he set off to a strange new country.
Super-powered, basically just three times as strong and fast as most people.

Physical Description: Nybel stands at five feet, eight inches, which makes him stand out from some of his peers at school. His long black hair and gray eyes give him a depressed face, which doesn't mean he isn't at all depressed. When smiling though, he is known to look like the happiest boy in the world. He never smiles. Nybel wears a thin blue jacket over his silk purple shirt, along with purple jeans. Even with these clothes, he manages to almost always be cold. He always carries around a Delyer which projects whatever he types in in a synthetic voice. It is a silver metal box about the size of
Personality: Nybel is known to be a sad boy though among some friends he is neutral. He struggles to understand the concept of fun and friendship, but still makes an effort to please those around him. Most would say he is an intelligent and kind spirit who will go out of his way to help others. However, Nybel is a tad lazy and does not enjoy moving. When he is serious, he tries his best. Due to never laughing, many consider him to be over serious. Nybel thinks he is not humorous, as he finds there to be no point.
History: Nybel was mute since birth. He came into the world silent and lives his life in perpetual quietness. He uses his Delyer to communicate with others after giving up learning sign language. He only knows a bit more than half the alphabet and a few common phrases. Even so, he is almost never without his metal box. Nybel enjoys listening to people sing due to his inability to do so, and plays various instruments. Even though he cannot speak, Nybel knows English and French perfectly, and even tried learning a bit of latin. Nybel also took up boxing for five years and has an interest in martial arts.
Scanner - Nybel Ton'or can find out information about anyone, which is basically, with a stare he could find out a lot of information about them that just pops up in their mind.

He has fairly long black hair that reaches the base of his neck, and is generally messy, shooting off in a few different directions, and bright crystalline looking blue eyes. His skin is fairly dark, spending most of his time in the desert sun, and he can usually be seen wearing a black t-shirt, baggy-ish khaki shorts, and black and white tennis shoes, with black hoodie thrown over his shoulder when the nights get cold. He also has a tribal looking tattoo on his left shoulder that goes down to the end of his bicep.
Personality: Mattias was never really close to anyone except for his mother throughout his life. He is wise beyond the short 15 years he has been alive, and is very mature due to the experiences he has been through. He does not believe in love towards anyone outside his immediate family, nor any other sort of affection that goes higher than that of friendship. He is extremely loyal, to anyone that shows him companionship. He is very adept at fighting, though he has not legitimate style, he has never lost.
History: Ever since his father disappeared, Mattias has live with his mother and his younger sister. One day, he woke up, and his mother and sister were gone. He's been living alone in a cave on the outskirts of Dimo ever since, and he doesn't talk to anyone much. His only remaining family lives in Zarboniko, but he isn't very excited to visit, being they think it's his fault the rest of his family is gone.

Personality: Kenji is a timid and nice fellow, close with everyone and always trying to be friends whenever he can. He's a mature person at times, but likes to goof off with company and hang out with friends.
History: Kenji's lived a normal life, nothing much occurring that has changed him. He's an only child, or at least, that's what he thought at birth. He had two sisters, who each disappeared randomly before his birth. His parents almost gave up, thinking they would lose him too, so they're overprotective with him.

Personality:Is usually always calm. He enjoys playing the piano and use to play sports and be more active, but due to his unknown illness he sits inside most of the time always wondering what the outside world might be like.
History: Saori's parents were loving and caring, but when a storm hit the coast they were lost and Saori didn't have the strength to go out and search for them. His parents weren't the only ones that disappeared in that storm. Saori lives alone in a small house near the beach side and is usually found playing his piano.

Physical Description: Omnis' normal attire consists of a white hoodie sweatshirt and black pants. When he's "up to something" or going somewhere of importance, he tends to wear a black coat over his sweatshirt for no reason. He has messy, snow white hair and indigo eyes. He stands at 5'3'' and is really self-conscious about his height. He is fairly thin and pretty agile.
Personality: Omnis tends to be a bit michevious and tends to steal things for the sake of stealing things. He then sells the goods to anyone who gives him a good enough price. Normally, he can be an all-around nice guy, and people like him for it. He knows how to sweet-talk people, and can usually work through human obstacles with words. He also likes messing with people's heads.
History: For as long as he (or anyone else) can remember, Omnis has been a thief. His parents saw it as just long-term rebelliousness (wut?), and the law has let him off easy cause he was so young, though he only gets caught half of the time anyway. Physical Description: Rose has long black hair and bright green eyes, and very pale skin. She usually wears dark jeans and a plain coloured shirt. She almost always wears a zipper-up hoodie of a dark colour and simple design. She stands at 5'7" and is fairly thin, likely due to the fact that it became difficult for her to get an abundance of food in her later years.
Personality: Rose was very social as a child, which gained her many friends then. She was always one place or another, hanging out with the other children, for a long time. After she moved out on her own, she became quiet and reclusive, but she still had the same mindset she did as a child. History: Rose had a fairly good life with her family but they never saw eye to eye. At the age of 10 she began saving her money so she'd be able to move out one day, and by 12 she had finally gathered up enough money to support herself on her own for a while. When she was 12 she ran away from home and moved to the northern part of Zarboniko, directly above the Capital City. She had a lot of time alone, and with that time, she didn't waste any. Rose took up studying languages and can comprehend and speak several languages which comes in handy, even though the main one spoken is English. In her free time she took to observing people to figure out their habits and mannerisms, and is very interested in psychology. When she has nothing else to do she would take to laying around and dreaming, as she had found solace in bright dream worlds, and also founded a belief for herself that dreams could have something to do with more than one person's mind.

Physical Description: Rose has long black hair and bright green eyes, and very pale skin. She usually wears dark jeans and a plain coloured shirt. She almost always wears a zipper-up hoodie of a dark colour and simple design. She stands at 5'7" and is fairly thin, likely due to the fact that it became difficult for her to get an abundance of food in her later years.
Personality: Rose was very social as a child, which gained her many friends then. She was always one place or another, hanging out with the other children, for a long time. After she moved out on her own, she became quiet and reclusive, but she still had the same mindset she did as a child. Physical Description: A young, male teenager who stands at the height of 5"6 1/2. His build isn't large, and he doesn't at all have too large amount of muscle, but he has enough strength to sustain himself. He has a skinny build. Lockem Shoto has dark-brown eyes and light-brown skin. His well-kept, short black hair is combed to the side. He is always seen wearing a black lab coat that his father used to wear whenever he did any sort of research at his labratory.
Personality: Isn't at all considered the most civilized type of person. Although he isn't an evil or mean person, he isn't considered kind either. There's a side to him that makes people hesitant towards him. His history is the main reason why he acts the way he does: a teenager with an insane personality who strives for understanding the world around him.
History: Lockem Shoto, originally named "James William Arius", was born in Zarboniko in a family full of intelligent young minds. The young minds, who were usually known as scientists, were what made James' sanity fade away. In his earlier years with the Arius family, he went on trips around Zarboniko to visit other intelligent minds and people who would teach the family their traditions and their knowledge about the area around them. These traditions and the gathered knowledge would be brought together in a labratory where the Arius family conducted Family Fun Time: studying. But all James ever wanted was to be alone in a crib sleeping for most of his childhood.
By the time James had reached the age of 10, the Arius family was starting to rub off on him. The hours of studying and memorizing every single section of the world around him before it were to change had changed him. James was no longer a quiet child who watched his parents work with awe. He took over most of his family's work and started forming off of the information by himself. He began to manipulate and create various chemicals and other compounds to do things his family never thought possible. Once James had turned 12, and his father had become incredibly proud of him, and had given him various presents that James had started to enjoy. James was given booklets upon booklets of information having to do with the technology available in Zarboniko. Information on the high-tech objects and its smaller components were what really made James smile with joy once he had figured out how to duplicate the technology for himself.
Unfortunately for the 13-year-old James, after he had finally grown to love his own family through the longer hours of studying, his family had drowned in an accident along the eastern sides of Zarboniko when he had asked them to get some samples of the water there for additional research. James believed it was his fault that his family had died. He believed that it was through his greedy intentions that his father, mother, and three brothers had died. So in remembrance of the scientist infested family, James took hold of his father's white lab coat and painted it black. His enjoying of reading and learning new things had become an obsession. He had become crazier than the children around him.
James had become Lockem Shoto.
