Eiji's Story Number 2: Breath, Live, Adrenaline

CHAPTER 0: Prologue



No one in the world could have an explanation at that exact moment as to why I didn't end it then and there. Not one person, but me. Can't say it's to complicated to understand. You just have to look,listen, and feel. When it happened it was as if time had frozen only so that I can lay my eyes on the very person who changed my life. Of course I had no idea what this feeling was, but now it's the only reason why I am on this train with a 9mm gun pointed to my head. The man that has every urge to pull the trigger breath heavily as I am covered in small cuts and bruises. Smoking my first and last cigarette. Let me share with you my story before this train makes its final stop.

Approximately 5 AM I wake up the same way I always do. A nightmare which had haunted me for years. The agonizing cries for help and then there's "Me" the very one who ended each and every one of their lives. I don't ask for forgiveness, but only to leave me the hell alone. I start to mutter to myself, "Go away.. Go away." Yet they still keep coming. Creeping from every corner of this room. Their faces distorted and unrecognizable, but their voice light whispers and faints. Voices that would make a man go crazy.



*Ring* *Ring* "My phone..? They must have found her." I thought to myself as I got out of bed and reached for my cellular device that sat beneath my bed. The hallucinations had gone away after hearing the phone ring. That's the only good thing about my phone ringing. I opened my phone to read the text message. It reads, "Suzaku time to get to work. Suit up, i'll meet you infront of your apartment building." I thought to myself, "Suit up? What are we the police? Hell I'd rather be one of them." As I walked towards the bathroom holding my phone, I suddenly saw a dark round figure roll across the floor. As it got closer I knew clearly what it was. I thought to myself,"You put up a fight.." Quickly I rush to the bathroom and start gagging in the sink. I raise my head a bit looking into my reflection, but only see a killer.



I'm so tired. Not physically, but mentally. The memories of what happened last night come to mind as I stare into the dirty bathroom mirror. Screaming at the top of his lungs and fighting back. As I take his life away. Blood splattered on my face each strike I took at his neck and body. He continued to scream and scream, but the walls I believe were to thick for anyone to hear. I was supposed to end his life quietly. But plans went wrong, and led to a brutal death.

CHAPTER 1: Let Me

His image still burns in my mind. The target that night was said to be the brother of the current target today.
Text Message number 1123 Date: 7/10 A.D. 2016
/Codename: アキ(Aki)
/Sex: Female
/Mission: Capture and Interrogate whereabouts of プロジェクト 107 (Project)
/Location: Japan, Tokyo

I read the text message quickly and knew my true objective. "Capture and Interrogate.. A load of bullsh**" I thought to myself as I walked out of the apartment and into the slums of Tokyo A.D. 2016. I knew in my mind they wanted me to erase her from the pages of history. I work for an organization called エンド(END). Well the name pretty much explains it all. I didn't choose to work in this field, but was forced to. From Africa to the U.S then to Eruap. Eruap is a country that was formed not to long ago in 2011 due to the uprising of war. Which ended up not happening thanks to the organization エンド which how they rose to power.

Finally I head out to the front and see my closest "Friend" standing next to his car. The only person who understood me, yet we didn't really bond much.

Once I put on my black hoodie on he called to me, "Suzaku let's go."
/Codename:すざく(Suzaku)

That's my codename. None of us knew our real names unless you've looked through the restricted files.

"Suzaku we know her location." Kenji said to me. I nodded my head and put on my aviators. We both entered the black Porsche as Kenji said to me, "She took our bait. We notified her that code name:運命(Fate) would be at Tokyo tower." Kenji then asked me, "Do you know the whereabouts of her blood brother?" I stayed silent. He understood that Aki's brother was no longer living. Only a few minutes until we arrive and Tokyo tower and end all of this. Kenji handed me a silver magnum as I thought to myself, "This will never end. Not until I drop dead."

The car stopped that's when I knew the time had come for me to take another life. Once I stepped out of the car I felt a low rumbling under my feet. I didn't really questioned it and continued to walk towards Tokyo tower. Kenji told me she was under the tower next to the elevators. As the gun laid in my jacket pocket my eyes wandered slowly. Suddenly I felt my heart pounding slowly everything around me began to slow down. A loud creak came from below the Tokyo tower. The people around me began to fall and stumble. Than I looked down between my feet and saw a crack that slowly went under my legs. I watched as it creaked up the cement ground. In the split second that I heard a scream. (A scream? I haven't taken anyone's life.) The ground between my two feet split apart. Sending me tumbling to the left side. While the right side fell underneath into the metro system. I continued to look for her in panic. Why? Was I afraid I was going to die? That maybe.. I wasn't looking for death? Fire bursts from the explosion of the car that flip over my head. I duck and saw a figure up ahead. A figure that seemed as if they were waiting and hoping for something. That nothing around them mattered. I quickly rushed over as things exploded and people fell around me. As I got there my heart pounded again. Everything stopped around me. I pulled out my magnum and aimed, but that's when my eyes met hers. They were filled with color..



I felt something I never had before. I didn't know what to do. Suddenly Kenji came from behind the elevator and fired. My heart stopped for a second and time moved again. I found myself worrying about her. For whatever reason I felt a relief that she wasn't harmed. Without any thought in my head I pulled the silver trigger. It was the first time I closed my eyes out of fear of shooting someone. That's when I realized. I didn't aim for her. Instead I saw my closest "Friend." Hold his arm in pain and fall to the ground. At that very moment. Kenji and I felt emotion. Quickly Kenji got up and ran as I took her hand and started running. Running to who knows where I just started bursting away. I knew in my mind she already had a lover (Fate). I felt something else again. It made me angry,but I accepted it. A grin came about my face. As if I was so.. what's the word. Happy.

Authors comments - I know this is a completely different story from my first story. I decided to post-pone that one to make this one. It's a big difference with much more visual pictures. Also writing in first-person. It'll be much shorter than my first story, but I still hope it interest you all.

CHAPTER 2: Felt Like

I'm not sure whether to regret what I did. All I know is something changed. Something that was holding me back is gone. I didn't let go of that hand. Didn't want to. No urge to. We were long past the Tokyo tower, yet I still kept running. Without any word she kept running also. I haven't even realized that it got darker. Were the stars always this bright? A question that had never come into my mind in years. Before I knew it the new world that we were in was filled with much more color.



Finally we stopped. Being so exhausted I dropped to the floor like a rock. That's when she spoke to me, "Why did we *Huff* run so much?" I smiled saying, "I felt like it."

Laying in the grass like I did. I had never been more satisfied with my life. She then sits next to me and asks me, "Why'd you save me?" I didn't know whether to answer if it was for love,lust,friendship, or whatever. Instead I said, "Couldn't help it. A feeling." What else was she going to ask me? Who I am? She sure does ask a lot of questions;though it's only natural she does. There was one question that I wanted to ask anyone. I didn't want to see their card or anything. But instead a real name. So I did exactly what I wanted to, "Can I ask what your name is?" She responded, "Tell me your name first." Then I said, "Wait, but I asked you first." "Well you took me away into the middle of nowhere so I would like to know before giving you my name." She said. In my mind I had the urge to really want to know, but she won. "My name is 言う(Say)" "Odd name.." She said. She then said, "I'm 不明 (Name won't be given until I get permission.) After we didn't a word. Me being to exhausted and excited just wanted to rest. As she look as if she was thinking of someone. A few minutes later I got curious and asked, "What are you thinking about?" She responded, "My brother and チャールズ (Charles)" That's when a deep pain penetrated my heart. Her brother I was the one who took her brother away from this lifetime. Guilt? Something I always felt. I just never expressed it. Not like I am now. Tears came down I quickly put my arm over my eyes as I laid. Then I said, "Charles?" She said to me,"Fate was his codename given by the organization END." Damn tears won't stop coming. She turned and couldn't see my eyes, but she saw small tears run down my cheeks. "Are you crying?" She asked me. People would usually say "No." Instead I said, "I am."



She didn't ask me why. She just smiled. Can't believe how glad I was that she didn't ask. That's when I said, "This Charles you're looking for him right?" She nodded her head. "I know where he is. I'll take you there." I said. She asked me,"How do you-" Quickly I interrupted saying, "Let's get some rest. Tomorrow I'll take you to see him." She couldn't accept that answer and says,"Look you took me out here and I want to know.." I responded, "I'll tell you just not today. Not at this moment.." She turned her hand and laid on the grass. She whispered, "It's cold Charles.." I took off my jacket and placed it over her and shut my eyes. I knew this wouldn't last forever. That's why until the last breathe I take I'll make it last. I'll get her to see him again. One day I'll tell her I killed her brother. Until that day I continue to live. This time with a purpose. I shut my eyes and slept peacefully for the first time.

Approximately 5 AM My cell phone rang. Cellphone? I completely forgot. I opened my phone and took a look at the text.
It read
"/Codename:すざく(Suzaku)
/Sex:Male
/Number:217
Do to failure in obeying orders. Execution on sight."

Quickly I rose up and woke up 不明. She asked what was going on. I said, "They know where we are we have to move now." I threw my phone to the ground and crushed it. But before we could take another step a gun was fired off from a distant scraping my arm. I looked forward and saw I never met before, but was undeniable that he was from the very same organization that I was in. He was trained to kill. I chuckled and whispered to myself, "So was I." He spoke to us saying, "Both of you are wanted and to be executed right away." He aimed his gun again. That's when I realized my gun was in my jacket pocket in which she had. Right as he pulled the trigger I quickly rushed forward attempting to grab his gun. He fired his gun only to miss. I took this chance to swing my fist into his face and right as he dropped his 9mm gun. I grabbed it and without question aimed for his head and shot continuously. Not even giving him the moment to beg for his life. I guess he was a newer member of the organization. Otherwise we'd be in real sh** right now. I felt an undeniable pleasure at killing my own kind. As I shot I grinned until the gun was empty. I a noise from behind me yelling, "STOP!"



I felt an arm go above my shoulder and then I turned. I felt a sudden pain on my cheek as she said, "That's enough he was dead the first shot.." That's when I noticed the only color that I could see was red. The color of blood, just as I saw before I met her. The only words that came out were, "I'm sorry." She just nodded and said, "Let's go before more of them come.." She handed me my jacket as I noticed the emblem on my t-shirt sleeve was scratched out by the bullet. Quickly I put on my jacket and headed towards Tokyo again. We started running again only this time we weren't escaping we were headed towards the very place that will lead me to my new purpose. Protecting her and finding Charles also known as Fate.
